Towards the Historic Landmark

Both the THC and MHC Historic commissions for the city and State have deemed our property eligible for listing in the National Register of historic Places. The historic Concord Church founded by the Concord Baptist Church (1844) was an influential congregation in the Concord (Liberty) community during its early history. The property was site of the founding Concord Baptist Association and the site of activity during the Civil War. The 20th century history indicates that it continued to act as a community center and be influential in the local community. Physical changes to the church building reflect its changing and expanding role in the Concord area.
